Laser Cooled LP Nd:YAG
Cutting-edge technology to treat vascular conditions
What is the Cooled LP Nd:YAG laser?
The Cooled LP Nd:YAG laser, available on the Harmony platform developed by Alma Lasers, is a laser technology based on the photothermal effect, which offers efficiency in treating vascular lesions.
How does the COOLED LP ND:YAG laser work?
The specific length of 1064 nm is selectively absorbed by oxyhaemoglobin, thereby selectively photothermolysing superficial and deep vascular lesions up to 3 mm in diameter.
The number and frequency of sessions will be determined by the specialist after a consultation, depending on the characteristics of the lesions to be treated. In general, a series of 4-8 sessions, spaced every 4-8 weeks, is recommended.
WHAT CONDITIONS CAN BE TREATED WITH THE COOLED LP ND:YAG LASER?
It is indicated for patients with well-defined vascular lesions, such as:

Frequently asked questions
What is the Cooled LP Nd:YAG laser and who is it recommended for?
The Cooled LP Nd:YAG laser is a vascular laser available on the Harmony platform, targeting patients with vascular lesions such as angiomas, telangiectasias or venectasias.
Which areas can be treated?
With this laser we can treat vascular lesions in the face, such as angiomas or telangiectasias, lesions in the trunk, and also venous lesions, such as venectasias in the lower limbs.
How many sessions are needed?
Depending on the type of lesions and the particularities of each patient, we need 4 to 8 sessions to achieve the desired results, at intervals of 4 to 8 weeks at most.
What to expect during treatment?
The sensation felt by the patient during the treatment is of local heat, sometimes with a brief stinging sensation at the site of the laser action, which is relieved by the built-in cooling head of the device.
Are there any restrictions after the procedure?
Immediately after treatment there may be erythema and slight transient oedema in the treated area, but these are of low intensity and duration. The patient can resume normal activities immediately after treatment; however, it is recommended to avoid strenuous exercise and other activities that may lead to vasodilation for 24-48 hours after the procedure.
How long before the results are visible?
Depending on the lesions treated, the results can be seen even after the first treatment session, but in the case of larger or deeper lesions, the results become visible only after the first 2-3 treatment sessions.
