Benefits of plasma therapy
How does own plasma therapy work?
This procedure involves taking a small amount of blood from the patient and processing it in a centrifuge to separate the plasma. The resulting plasma is enriched with platelets, which contain growth factors and proteins, and is then injected into the patient's scalp.
WHAT CONDITIONS DOES IT TREAT?
The therapy is aimed at women and men suffering from various types of alopecia, which can bring many benefits to both scalp and hair quality.
Before trying plasma therapy, you should consult a specialist. He or she will carry out a medical assessment to determine whether plasma therapy is the right solution and to discuss the expectations and risks associated with the procedure.

Frequently asked questions
How is own plasma therapy administered?
At the heart of platelet-enriched plasma therapy is the patient's own blood. A small amount is collected with a syringe, under maximum safety. The collected blood is put into a centrifuge that will separate the components to make plasma. The resulting plasma, enriched with platelets, will then be injected, either by mesotherapy with a very fine needle or by microneedling, into the patient's skin.
How long does a plasma therapy session last?
On average, a treatment session lasts between one and two hours, depending on the type of administration: mesotherapy or microneedling. This time includes both the 30 minutes needed to collect and centrifuge the blood and the time during which the topical anaesthetic spray is applied.
Is the treatment painful?
Patients generally notice the appearance of new hairs 3 months after treatment. On average 4 to 6 sessions per year are needed, one every 2 to 4 weeks. Results will continue to appear for 6-12 months after completion of the treatment protocol.
Are there any risks or side effects with plasma therapy?
Own plasma therapy is a safe procedure with very few contraindications. The most common undesirable reactions are mild to moderate redness and swelling of the treated area, which persist for a very short period of time.
Who is not targeted for plasma therapy?
During the consultation, the doctor will determine whether this procedure is indicated and safe for the patient.
The procedure is not intended for pregnant women and patients with certain associated health problems.
